Swimmers
Native people believe that all things are alive and everything has a spirit. Sky Beings and Star People all have their stories in the more than 560 nations living in the U.S., speaking more than 250 different languages. Standing Ones are the trees and plants. Stone People are respected as the bones of the Earth and are referred to as grandmothers and grandfathers. Rivers are called the Long Human Beings. Creepy Crawlies are the bugs, Fliers or Winged Ones are those who travel in the air. The animal family consists of Four-Legged and Two-Legged, the later can become human. Swimmers are all those able to live under the water. The animal agreed with the humans to give them their lives in order for the Two-Leggeds to live. With gratitude, we now eat seafood of all kinds.
